Welcome to Troop 342!


Here’s a look at some of the exciting activities we have planned. This list is designed to give new families and visiting Scouts an idea of the fun and adventure we do together.

Fall 2025:

September

  • Camping at Grant County Park

  • Sept 15 — Open House for Troop 342 (HCLC, 7:30pm)

October

  • Gold Rush Adventure at Boulder Creek (registration full)

  • 5-mile hike with map and compass (Second Class 3b requirement)

  • Pumpkin Carving at troop meeting (HCLC, 7:30pm)

November

  • ScoutsGiving Feast at Royal Oaks County Park (invite family & guests)

  • Camping at Royal Oaks County Park

  • Scouting for Food Flyer Distribution

  • WeSTFair (Scout Troop showcase at CPUMC, 6:30pm)

  • Scouting for Food Collection

December

  • TBD — Indoor Rock Climbing



Winter & Spring 2026:

January

  • Forestry Weekend at CSR (SVMBC event)

February

  • Snow Trip (cabins)

March

  • Backpacking Adventure (Pt Reyes, Montebello, or Sunol Wilderness)

April

  • Camporee at CSR (Theme: Wizards)

May

  • Scout-O-Rama

June

  • Paddle & Camp Trip (Tomales Bay or Stanislaus River)
